Bride and Groom hugging in front of tall sea grasses with sun flare behind

Last weekend was Katie and Jeffrey’s beautiful Fall wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard. The weather was (finally) gorgeous, and we were so happy to see this sweet couple again! We loved getting to know them at their engagement session last Fall. They are so cute together. Katie has the best laugh and Jeffrey obviously makes her very happy. (Plus, Katie was born in England and has the best accent, which immediately makes me want to be her best friend!) I always ask our couple how they met, and I love their story. “We went to the same high school and were friends, not dating. We went to the same college and decided to meet a few times a week for lunch, for a friendly face. Lunches turned into more lunches, which turned into dinners, which turned into dates.” Which turned into these two beautiful people getting married!

Their family and friends were so sweet and the whole day was full of emotion. One of the most rewarding things about being a wedding photographer is being able to capture real moments and the connection between people. Happy tears? There’s a good chance I’m tearing up behind the camera, too. And there was lots of laughter and happy tears on this special day.

Jeffrey and his groomsmen spent the afternoon at the hotel, getting ready and playing poker. The girls relaxed and got ready in the bridal suite at Saltwater Farm. Katie got choked up when she saw Jeffrey and the guys arrive at the vineyard. It was so sweet! And just one small moment on this special day. First looks, a beautiful ceremony, special dances, this wedding was full of amazing moments!

Last weekend, Lisa and Robert got married on a blustery Fall afternoon. Once again, the weather was playing tricks. What was supposed to be passing showers turned into a full afternoon of downpours! But thankfully Lisa and Robert didn’t allow that to stop them from enjoying their wedding day. It was absolutely beautiful, and to say that their friends and family were fun is an understatement! After the ceremony, the rain slowed down enough for us to get some outdoor portraits, and we even had some gorgeous golden light.

The day started with the girls getting ready at the bridal suite at The Meadows, and the boys at the hotel. Lisa was a little nervous (not to be marrying Robert, but just because weddings can sometimes be a little nerve-wracking!), and it was so nice to see how her bridesmaids took care of her, distracting her and making her laugh. John was hanging out with the guys at the hotel and he sent me a text saying, “The guys are fun!” That pretty much sums up this group of friends. Lisa and Robert’s ceremony was held on the covered patio, and although it was still raining we could see blue sky breaking through and the light was beautiful. I was so happy for this sweet couple, who met in high school!

Bride & Groom standing together with vines behind them at golden hour

It doesn’t get much better than a wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard in the Fall. And we were so happy to be a part of Beth & Sean’s!

Last weekend, Beth and Sean got married at Saint Patrick’s Church in Mystic and then headed to Saltwater Farm Vineyard in Stonington for an amazing night of celebration with their families and friends. Saltwater Farm Vineyard is one of our favorite venues. It’s so beautiful, especially in the Fall, when the vines are full. (And although it was officially Fall that weekend, it certainly didn’t feel like it with unseasonably warm temperatures!)  It was a gorgeous evening and the perfect location for them to begin their life together as Mr and Mrs!

We got to know Beth and Sean when we shot their engagement session last year, and quickly found out that we have a  lot in common. They are huge Boston Red Sox fans (their mutual love of the Red Sox is actually what brought them together when they were working on the same team at their company) and Beth is also a graduate of Fitch High School! They are laid back and didn’t want to worry about the details of the day, so they hired some super talented vendors and trusted them with their vision. As Beth said, “You do you!” Daly from Daly Planning and the crew at Coastal Gourmet worked their magic, and Yumiko and the ladies at Hana Floral outdid themselves with the florals. Absolutely gorgeous! It all came together to give Beth and Sean a beautiful Fall vineyard wedding.
