Bride in a fur coat and Groom sitting on a bench with Christmas Decorations

Last weekend, we finished our wedding season in the best possible way! Chris and Caitlin (and their family and friends) are so much fun. And their winter wedding day was full of beautiful, simple touches.  Caitlin was a stunning bride. Her custom-made lace jacket and elegant Theia dress from the White Dress by the Shore were exquisite, and a fur topper added to the classic look. Timeless perfection!

Caitlin and her girls got ready in the gorgeous home of a family friend. It was such a treat to shoot in and around this beautiful home, and the owners could not have been more gracious! After a first look and some portraits, we headed to Ocean Beach for their ceremony, and then to Latitude 41 at the Mystic Seaport for their reception (with a stop at the Whale Tail on the way!). After enjoying a delicious dinner and some touching speeches, Chris and Caitlin and their family and friends danced the night away.

Chris and Caitlin, we couldn’t have asked for a sweeter couple or more beautiful wedding to end our season with! Cheers to a lifetime of happiness!

Last weekend was Katie and Jeffrey’s beautiful Fall wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard. The weather was (finally) gorgeous, and we were so happy to see this sweet couple again! We loved getting to know them at their engagement session last Fall. They are so cute together. Katie has the best laugh and Jeffrey obviously makes her very happy. (Plus, Katie was born in England and has the best accent, which immediately makes me want to be her best friend!) I always ask our couple how they met, and I love their story. “We went to the same high school and were friends, not dating. We went to the same college and decided to meet a few times a week for lunch, for a friendly face. Lunches turned into more lunches, which turned into dinners, which turned into dates.” Which turned into these two beautiful people getting married!

Their family and friends were so sweet and the whole day was full of emotion. One of the most rewarding things about being a wedding photographer is being able to capture real moments and the connection between people. Happy tears? There’s a good chance I’m tearing up behind the camera, too. And there was lots of laughter and happy tears on this special day.

Jeffrey and his groomsmen spent the afternoon at the hotel, getting ready and playing poker. The girls relaxed and got ready in the bridal suite at Saltwater Farm. Katie got choked up when she saw Jeffrey and the guys arrive at the vineyard. It was so sweet! And just one small moment on this special day. First looks, a beautiful ceremony, special dances, this wedding was full of amazing moments!
