Last weekend John and I took the boys for a stroll down memory lane in John’s hometown of Noank, Connecticut. John knows every square inch of this village, having grown up in the time when we spent most of our childhood outside exploring. It’s also the place we were married, had Max and lived until we bought our house. And it’s amazingly charming and beautiful. Noank will always have a special place in our hearts.
This wood chain fence was made by one of John’s relatives. It’s so cool!
No visit to Noank is complete without a stop at Carson’s.
Noank Baptist Church, where we were married. And John was a choir boy 🙂
I love this little garden where we shot our wedding portraits.
And I’ll end this post with a story that made me laugh. As we were walking around town, John was visiting with people he knew and regaling the kids with stories of his childhood. So when Alex saw this old picture in the Corner Closet shop window, he asked, “Daddy, which one of these kids is you?”
