Last weekend Tom and Janey got married at Winvian Farm. It was a warm, beautiful, perfect summer day and Winvian Farm is one of the prettiest spots we’ve ever seen. But the thing we were most excited about was seeing Tom and Janey officially start their life together! These two simply adore each other and were so excited to be married. It was such a joy to be a part of their day! Their friends and family were so happy for them. Everyone was so warm and inviting and welcomed us like old friends.

We were also excited to be back at Winvian Farm. It is a really special place. Located on 113 acres in the Litchfield Hills, it consists of the beautiful and historic 1775 house with 18 incredible cottages sprinkled throughout the property. Each cottage is designed around a specific theme. So far we have been lucky enough to experience the Hadley Suite,  the Helicopter Cottage, the Beaver Lodge and the Stone Cottage. So beautiful and unique! And a perfect spot to celebrate this fun and laid back couple!

Last weekend, Annie and Taylor got married at Saltwater Farm Vineyard on a gray, blustery day. But they weren’t going to allow a few raindrops keep them from enjoying their wedding day! Surrounded by their family and friends, and an incredible group of vendors, they were able to have the wedding that was perfect for them. They are so sweet and so much fun, and their day was just the same. I absolutely loved their laid-back style. They are such an amazing couple and we were so thrilled to be a part of their wedding day!

When Annie sent me her list of vendors, I literally did the happy dance! Each one is amazing! On a slightly stormy day in September, John and I were part of something very special. Tropical Storm Jose was hanging out at sea, far enough away to not be a major concern but close enough to whip up some pretty amazing wind and waves and produce an ominously gorgeous sky. But what was really beautiful was what was about to happen at Misquamicut Beach. Amy and Seth are a beautiful couple, inside and out. I met Amy because we are both wedding photographers in the same town. She is amazingly talented! Over the last couple of years, we have become great friends and she is a constant source of support and encouragement to me. I could not have been happier for her and Seth when they got engaged and decided to get married in Italy at the end of December. We made arrangements to do some portraits of them on the beach. This beach has been an important part of their lives together, and now even more so. Because not only were we going to take some portraits of them, we were going to be there to witness them exchange their wedding vows! As it turns out, getting married in Italy is a little complicated, so having a legal ceremony in the US just made sense. They could have a sweet ceremony in this very special place, with their parents and grandparents and a few of their closest friends, some of whom weren’t able to make the trip abroad. And while we weren’t able to make the trip, we were so honored and thrilled to be there on this special day!
