To say that my mom is an incredible person is just a bit of an understatement. She is small but mighty! She has taken care of my dad since he had his stroke over ten years ago, taking him to all of his doctor appointments, his painting class, bowling and stroke support group (and many times out to lunch, too) which includes lugging around his wheelchair (no easy task). And she also loves doing things for others, too. She’s truly one of the most thoughtful people I know. Just ask the people she delivers donuts to! She does so much for me and my boys, always ready to babysit or make her famous brownies.
Sometimes my sister and I worry about her because she is so busy and doesn’t have much time for herself. Vicki and I also have very busy lives, so we’ve been making a point of slowing down and spending some girl time together. There’s nothing better than going to lunch and poking around some shops with two of my favorite people!
This past weekend I asked John to snap a pic of us before we went out. I love our girl time. Make sure you slow down and spend some time with the people you love! And don’t forget to snap a pic or two!
