My boys had been waiting for snow. And waiting. “When is it going to snow,” they’d ask. “When can we go sledding?” But living on the shoreline means we don’t get as much snow. We have more “delayed openings” than “snow days”.
But once in awhile, we get a good old fashioned nor’easter. And then, let the sledding begin!
John took the boys up the street to the fort, and their friend Grant joined us a little later. I went up to just take a couple of pictures (truth be told, I am very happy to stay home and make the hot chocolate), but the light was so pretty and the boys were having so much fun, I ended up shooting the whole time.
Here we are, heading to the park.
John and Alex taking their first run down the hill.
And Alex going solo.
Here’s Max catching some air. He actually lost his hat after this jump!
Here’s Max and Grant.
I love this picture of Grant. This is what being a kid is all about!
And speaking of kids, here’s John.
The light was so pretty.
It was a great first snow. The boys agreed. It was worth the wait!
What a fun day! The way you capture the light in your photographs is spectacular.
I miss the snow!!! Lovely photos, as usual! I really enjoy looking at your photographs! :0)
