I always ask our couples about their story. How did they meet? And Lauren and Frank’s story (as written by Lauren) is so cute that I had to share:

“We met on a blind date through a mutual friend in high school. It was just before prom season and we both needed dates. Frank went to an all-boy’s school and I had a friend on the swim team who went to his sister school. Our first date was at the mall  – we had to sneak into an “R” movie. We ended up going to the prom one month later where we had our first kiss. The rest is history.”

Whoever set these two up on a blind date knew what they were doing. Lauren and Frank are such a sweet, fun couple! They were the first couple that we did an engagement session with last year after a very dark winter and we connected with them immediately. We couldn’t wait for their wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard, and it did not disappoint! It was a day full of family, friends, love, and lots of laughter. We were thrilled to be there to capture it all! Can I just say again how happy we are that weddings are back? It’s so nice to be doing what we love to do again, and even nicer to be working with some of our favorite vendors.

Last weekend, Emily and Josh got married on a very wet and windy day at Saltwater Farm Vineyard. If you were in Connecticut, you heard about it all week. The weathermen couldn’t stop talking about the Nor Easter that was going to hit on Emily and Josh’s wedding day. They kept saying things like “sideways rain” and “complete washout”. So when Emily greeted me with a huge smile, full of excitement, I couldn’t have been happier! She and Josh were so happy to be getting married, and decided to embrace the less than ideal weather and enjoy their day! And with the help of Daly from Daly Planning (she is a rockstar!), they did just that. They had a beautiful first look and then we explored all of the cozy spots that the vineyard offers. Then we put on our rain boots (hers were beautiful teal Hunters) grabbed some umbrellas and went and played in the rain! There’s something about a couple who’s willing to dance in the rain. You know that they’re ready for this crazy life together. Josh and Emily’s wedding was so beautiful, and the perfect example that you don’t need perfect weather to have a perfect wedding!

Jackie and James got married last weekend on an absolutely stunning Fall day at Saltwater Farm Vineyard. When we arrived, it was overcast and gray. But right before Jackie and James did their first look, it was sunshine and blue skies! It made their already perfect day even more perfect! Jackie was a classically beautiful bride, and James looked very handsome in his tux (with subtle polka dots!).  And their little French bulldog, Taz, acting as best dog and wearing his best suit, was quite possibly the cutest thing ever! He definitely stole the show! It was such a perfect day. James and Jackie’s family and wedding party were so fun and welcoming. Jackie was rarely without a smile!
