A year ago, Katharine and Neal exchanged their wedding vows in front of their immediate family on what was supposed to be their original wedding date on a hot and sunny day in Mystic. And a year later, on another hot and sunny day in Mystic, they finally had their amazing celebration, complete with Hindu and Christian ceremonies and all of their extended family and friends! (As their reverend noted, they are very, very married!) Katharine and Neal wanted their big day to celebrate their cultures and the beautiful place where they met and fell in love. Latitude 41 at the Mystic Seaport was the perfect spot for them. Despite the heat, friends and family danced the night away under the tent on the lawn. I’m so happy that Katharine and Neal finally had their magic night, but I know they’ve already started their happily ever after.

After having to postpone their wedding last year, Jenna and Colin were married last weekend. Their wedding was so beautiful and so much fun! It was definitely worth waiting for! It was a special one for John and I because we were able to take them to someplace we love for portraits, Noank Village! Noank is very near and dear to our hearts. John was born and raised there, and we had our first apartment there. As it turns out, Jenna went to preschool at the same church where John and I were married! We also love shooting around the Mystic Yacht Club, where their reception was held. So pretty! It was such a great day. Their family and friends were amazing and DJae Melee had them on the dance floor all night. It was so fun working with him again after way too long!

Gina and David got married last weekend and it was beautiful! They had maneuvered through planning in these crazy times with grace and good humor (and help from Daly of Daly Planning). And with just a few changes, they were able to have their intimate wedding on their original date!  Even when it started raining briefly before the ceremony, they never stopped smiling. And then the rain stopped and they were blessed with beautiful sunshine and the most amazing golden hour. The sun was pouring in on them during their first dance.

One of our favorite parts of the day was the first look that Gina arranged with David’s groomsman dressed in the manatee onsie that David had bought her. It was the perfect ice breaker. It made their actual first look even more special.

Their day was full of some clouds, a little rain, the most gorgeous sunshine, smiles, happy tears and lots of laughter. We were so happy to be there to share it with them!
