The beginning of Caroline and John’s love story sounds like it’s straight out of a romcom. Boy meets girl online and arranges their first date. They meet at a bar which he didn’t realize was attached to a hotel. The waitress totally forgets about them. It’s pretty horrible. Would that be the end? Thankfully girl likes boy enough to try another date. That date (at a corn maze) makes up for the first date and they fall in love! Cue adorable montage of their next five years together: Skiing, scuba diving, buying a house, getting an adorable golden retriever named Summit. Which all leads up to this picture perfect day! Caroline and John exchanged vows near the water at the Stonington Lighthouse (with Summit as the worlds cutest ring bearer) and then celebrated with family and friends at the beautiful home of Caroline’s parents. Kaitlin from Blue Lane Events, Coastal Gourmet and Flowers by Justine brought their coastal vision to life. It was stunning! They danced the night away and ended the evening with a sparkler send off. Caroline and John, cheers to you and your happy life together!

Daly (of Daly Planning) is one of our favorite wedding planners! We love her and always love working with her, and we couldn’t have been happier to be there with her on her wedding day. The weather was gorgeous and, of course, the day was planned to perfection. Daly scheduled plenty of time for photos before and after their ceremony. We took their white trolley (where they also did their first look!) to some of their favorite spots. It was so beautiful and her friends and family were so much fun. Daly had the biggest smile on her face all day and it was so sweet to see how much Drew adores her.  There’s nothing better than watching a friend marry their best friend! And we always have the best time working with Dean from Dean Rocha Films and Doug from Power Posse, who had them on the dance floor all night

Katherine and Peter are the sweetest couple. They are fun and smart and clearly made for each other. But their first meeting didn’t leave them thinking that they were a match made in heaven.

Here’s what they wrote about how they met:

“Peter and Katherine met in their first year of law school through mutual friends at a trivia night at Durham’s Fullsteam Brewery. Although Katherine heard positive things about Peter through this group of friends, who seemed genuinely pleased that he’d be joining for the evening despite his questionable knowledge of trivia, she was not initially impressed with him. A lifelong southerner despite her notions to the contrary, she found Peter to be stereotypically “Connecticut”–quiet, snobby, and tragically unaware of how flashy his Fendi eyeglasses were. It gets worse; Peter does not remember Katherine from that evening, or indeed, from the first year of law school at all. Needless to say, it was not love (or even like) at first sight. ”

But of course, as the romantic comedy has taught us, everything was not as it seemed. Those Fendi glasses were actually knock-offs Peter had ordered from a sketchy Chinese website and Katherine turned out to be someone that he would never forget. Once they figured that out, their story went from friendship to a relationship to a beautiful wedding on the coast of Connecticut. We were so thrilled to join their amazing family and friends in celebrating this sweet couple. who really did turn out to be a match made in heaven.
