Carmen and Mark have a lot of family and SO MANY cute nieces and nephews. I could do an entire blog post of just adorable kids! And the sweetest dog that was rescued from Afghanistan. Their wedding day was so much fun. Carmen and Mark are just the nicest people. I loved the boho, easy vibe of their day, especially Carmen’s beautiful Anna Campbell dress, the gorgeous flowers and the colors of the bridesmaid dresses. So pretty! It was an amazing celebration full of laughter, happy tears and the joyful chaos only a big family can bring.

Katherine and Brian both went to James Madison University and despite having many friends in common, never met. Twenty years later, the stars aligned and brought them together. And when their kids met six months later, they loved each other instantly. It was clearly meant to be. After a disappointing postponement, Katherine and Brian finally had their wedding day at Saltwater Farm Vineyard last week. It was beautiful in every way. This day was so special because it was all about their kids. Brian’s two daughters and Katherine’s son and daughter were so happy to officially become a family (something they clearly already were!) They were a big part of the ceremony and the reception. A family first dance, cake cutting and a sweet and funny toast by the kids were highlights. And hearing Katherine’s daughter tell her that she looked like a princess completely melted my heart.

An amazing day with an amazing group of vendors! Katie & Matt were married last weekend, and it was nothing short of magical. They were originally supposed to get married on June 27, 2020, but thanks to covid were forced to postpone one year to the same weekend in 2021. The wait just seemed to make it extra special! I always send a questionnaire to my couples before their big day, and one question has to with any special details that we should be aware of. Their answer to this question says it all,  “..our FAMILIES and close friends are the special part and we’re grateful to be able to have all of them present and healthy.” Katie has a smile that just lights up the room, and Matt had us laughing all day. With the help of wedding planner extraordinaire Diana of Jubilee Events and her team, they pulled off a celebration full of beauty, love and laughter. Even the weather agreed, starting rainy and overcast and ending with the most glorious golden hour!
