There’s something about January that’s so, well, depressing. The holidays are over, and a long, cold winter is laid out before us like an endless frozen blanket. It’s full of steaming radiators, fly-a-way hair, and dry skin. Of puffy coats, gloves, and not so cute boots. Of snow, snow, and more snow.
But it’s also the beginning of a new year. And there’s something exciting about that. There’s potential, and possibilities. Maybe THIS is the year I will (fill in the blank) get back to my high school weight, finish that novel, get cast in a movie with Taylor Lautner, (as his mom. But still..)
Really, my goals for the new year are quite simple: to continue to grow my business (shout out to my hubby, who is crazily supportive), to spend lots of time with my family and my awesome friends, to help my boys grow into the best people they can possibly be, and to continue to enjoy my life.
As a tribute to 2009, I decided to post some of my favorite images from Chris and Holly’s wedding. (I never posted them because I didn’t have the blog up and running yet.)
Here’s Katie being a very patient flower girl, and Holly the moment the priest declared her and Chris husband and wife
At the reception, Holly and the girls doing a little “Paradise by the Dashboard Light”.
The Pavilion at Rocky Neck was a beautiful venue. I loved how it looked lit up at night.
Thanks Holly and Chris, for being one of my highlights of 2009! I can’t wait to see what 2010 brings!
Dear Jen,
I don’t know where to start… you have a gift, truly. I look at the photos of our wedding often and every time I do I am so thankful you were with us. You and John were so professional; from the walkthrough to the end of the reception. Your attention to the little things really touched me (the puzzle piece) and your kindness made it feel like you were family.
I am so impressed with how you were able to capture the moments showing the sentiment of the day. Not just the portraits (which were beautiful, of course) but the candid, honest emotion that your heart remembers. What a gift!
I can say without hesitation I would reccomend you – as I have already (See Jodie and John) and trust you to record the memories that make the day so wonderful!
You’re the best!
Holly
