Sara and Doug’s Family Celebration Portraits at Enders Island

05.27.22 : Portraits, Weddings

A few weeks ago, I finally met Sara and Doug for some long-awaited portraits. We had been chatting since 2019! Like so many 2020 couples their wedding day was postponed due to Covid. But this amazing couple had already been together for eight years and they were more than ready to start their married life. They decided to elope in North Carolina and plan a family celebration with their families in 2021. Many twists and turns and reschedules later, they finally had their celebration! I was so excited to meet them, their parents and Sara’s grandparents (who are both well into their 90s!) at the beautiful Enders Island. Enders Island is very special to Sara’s family as her uncle is the director of facilities. He helped build the beautiful chapel! He was also so accommodating and showed me some of his favorite spots for portraits, and I discovered some new ones of my own. It was so fabulous to finally meet them and explore this beautiful place.
