Right now, I am writing this blog from our dining room, which looks like a stock room (although the view of the river is nicer than the view of some random parking lot). We have been working on the house, painting, redoing our staircase (sooo not fun) in preparation for new carpet being installed tomorrow. This means that the entire contents of our second floor office and two bedrooms are at this moment shoved into our dining room and front foyer. John and I have been working like painting-scraping-carpet ripping up fools for what feels like forever so we were very happy to take a break from the house madness last weekend for a trip up to Sudbury, Massachusetts for Jamie and John’s charming vintage wedding!
We met Jamie at her mom’s house for some getting ready pictures before heading over to the Mary Martha Chapel at the Wayside Inn.
I love this pic of Jamie helping her little brother Kyle with his boutonniere.
Jamie arrived in style in a horse drawn carriage!
Her niece was the sweetest little flower girl! She rode down the aisle in a wagon designed and built especially for Jamie and John by Jamie’s cousin!
After the ceremony we headed over to the Grist Mill for some portraits.
John and his best man had sneakers customized with his wedding date!
The reception took place at the lovely Wayside Inn in Sudbury. Jamie did such a great job matching the vintage charm with her colors and details. One of her labors of love was her skeleton key seating chart. I loved it!
This is Jamie’s aunt. She did the flowers and they were amazing!
One of my favorite moments was when John’s mom was announced, with her future husband, Kevin Garnett!
The toast by Jamie’s brother was more like a bridal roast and was very funny!
Kyle was burning up the dance floor!
Jamie and John, thanks for having us! We had a great time. Hope you’re having fun in California!
