As John and I drove to Southbury in the pouring rain last Saturday, my heart sank for our beautiful bride Meghan. I mean, rain on your wedding day (although supposedly good in the luck department), can be pretty stressful. So when Meghan greeted us with a huge smile and her laid back, anti-bridezilla grace, we knew it was going to be a great day. And then, right on cue, the rain stopped and the sun started shining!
I loved Meghan’s simple, elegant gown. She looked absolutely stunning!
The ceremony was at the St. Theresa of Avila church in Woodbury. It was such a beautiful, New England church with amazing light. Meghan is a wine rep in New York City, so this stained glass window caught my eye!
The new Mr. & Mrs!
Some classic portraits in front of the church. How cute are these flower girls? This is probably my favorite image of the day!
I absolutely loved the girls bouquets by Flore Fine Flowers.
Jeff and his guys at Southford Falls State Park in Southbury.
The Heritage in Southbury was the perfect place for Meghan’s vision of rustic elegance. I loved how everything came together! (AND the staff treated us like gold! Made for a great night!)
We knew it was going to be fun when the dance floor was full before the salads were served!
And the evening ended with everyone serenading Meghan’s mom (a New Yorker through and through) with a rousing rendition of “New York, New York”.
Meghan and Jeff, we can’t thank you enough for allowing us to be part of your wedding day!
