When I asked Melissa how she and Jayson met, she told me a sweet story of childhood friends who had known each other since 5th grade. They had dated briefly at age 12, shared their first kiss, and then remained great friends all through high school. College found them going their separate ways, but graduation found them home again, both preparing for lives in New York City. They started hanging out. And dating. And this time, there was no going back. They moved to a new city, and they ended up just where they started, together.
This past Sunday, Melissa & Jayson were married at Saltwater Farm Vineyard. They weather was beautiful, and her clean rustic chic vision was perfect for the vineyard.
Melissa’s dress was an Amsale dress, but Melissa made it her own by changing the top and adding the jeweled detail to the waistband.
Melissa & Jayson opted to do a first look, which we always love! They also used this time to exchange their gifts. Jayson had recreated a lost necklace that Melissa had cherished that had belonged to Melissa’s Grandmother, Bubbie Bernice. It was very sweet and sentimental.
Thanks, Melissa & Jayson, for letting us be a part of your truly special day!
