Ashley & Mike’s Saltwater Farm Vineyard Wedding

Last weekend we shot Ashley and Mike’s beautiful wedding at Saltwater Farm Vineyard (another Boston Strong couple!). Ever since we shot their engagement session we couldn’t wait to see them again. They are such a fun, funny, sweet couple (I mean, they have a hedgehog named Conan. How cool is that?). I knew their day would be special, and it was! It was full of thoughtful details. From the sand in their centerpieces from Hawks Nest Beach in Old Lyme (Ashley’s favorite place),  to the locket containing her grandparents photos on her bouquet, to the wedding stout that they brewed for their big day (Mike is a lab scientist at Harpoon Brewery), it was all meaningful and beautiful.

Ashley_Mike-24 Mike and Ashley decided to do a first look, and also allowed lots of time for portraits at the vineyard and in Stonington. The forecast initially called for rain, but it ended early and we were left with a very nice (although slightly chilly) day!

It had rained overnight, and Ashley’s gorgeous Badgely Mischka heels kept getting stuck in the soft ground. Luckily Ashley was an extremely prepared bride, and stepped into her adorable yellow Tom’s!

This car just happened to be parked at the point in Stonington Borough. We couldn’t resist! Ashley had just given Mike those awesome sunglasses that morning.

One thing Mike and Ashley really wanted to do was go to the Skipper’s Dock for a Guinness.  The Skipper’s Dock is really special to them, and so is Guinness! It was so much fun.

In lieu of favors, Mike and Ashley made a donation to the Sandy Hook School Support Fund. Ashley is a kindergarten teacher and this is a cause that’s close to her heart.
