Last weekend, Lisa and Robert got married on a blustery Fall afternoon. Once again, the weather was playing tricks. What was supposed to be passing showers turned into a full afternoon of downpours! But thankfully Lisa and Robert didn’t allow that to stop them from enjoying their wedding day. It was absolutely beautiful, and to say that their friends and family were fun is an understatement! After the ceremony, the rain slowed down enough for us to get some outdoor portraits, and we even had some gorgeous golden light.
The day started with the girls getting ready at the bridal suite at The Meadows, and the boys at the hotel. Lisa was a little nervous (not to be marrying Robert, but just because weddings can sometimes be a little nerve-wracking!), and it was so nice to see how her bridesmaids took care of her, distracting her and making her laugh. John was hanging out with the guys at the hotel and he sent me a text saying, “The guys are fun!” That pretty much sums up this group of friends. Lisa and Robert’s ceremony was held on the covered patio, and although it was still raining we could see blue sky breaking through and the light was beautiful. I was so happy for this sweet couple, who met in high school!
