On the first weekend in September, we took a trip to Glastonbury for Melissa and Mike’s kicked back, fun wedding at the Connecticut River Valley Inn. The day was beautiful, the inn was lovely, and the whole vibe of the day was that of a relaxed, backyard wedding (at a really nice house!).

How fun is the leopard runner on the stairs?

Instead of a traditional wedding gown, Melissa opted for a custom made renaissance style gown. I loved that it fit her personality perfectly!

I am in love with this series of images of Melissa getting ready. I am a geeky art history girl at heart, and her dress and the window light remind me of a painting.

I love her maid of honor Chrissy in the background. (We’ve been lucky enough to do two weddings with her!)

A very cute ring bearer..

At this point the ring bearer had decided he was pretty much over all this picture taking business.

Some pretty light, a pair of newlyweds, a beautiful field and a hammock? Yes, please!

Ok, this was the moment that the ring bearer decided he was definitely over this picture taking business!

Not only was the meal from Big Mikes Backyard BBQ delicious, the aroma was enough to make a few guests delirious!

A fun photo booth by Studio Z!

DJ Zach from Zach Dauphinais Signature Events had the crowd on the dance floor!

Thanks, Melissa and Mike, for a great night.
