Last weekend, Emily and Josh got married on a very wet and windy day at Saltwater Farm Vineyard. If you were in Connecticut, you heard about it all week. The weathermen couldn’t stop talking about the Nor Easter that was going to hit on Emily and Josh’s wedding day. They kept saying things like “sideways rain” and “complete washout”. So when Emily greeted me with a huge smile, full of excitement, I couldn’t have been happier! She and Josh were so happy to be getting married, and decided to embrace the less than ideal weather and enjoy their day! And with the help of Daly from Daly Planning (she is a rockstar!), they did just that. They had a beautiful first look and then we explored all of the cozy spots that the vineyard offers. Then we put on our rain boots (hers were beautiful teal Hunters) grabbed some umbrellas and went and played in the rain! There’s something about a couple who’s willing to dance in the rain. You know that they’re ready for this crazy life together. Josh and Emily’s wedding was so beautiful, and the perfect example that you don’t need perfect weather to have a perfect wedding!
